In reply to Vivian Machado. Im sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately we put so much trust in these establishments and often forget that these things can happen. The remedy was unacceptable, I would have documented the condition and send an email to the corporate office to file an official complaint. Often the corporate office is unaware of what goes on at the property level. Its always a good move to notify them so they can remedy the issue. If it happened to you, it can happen to another guest at the same hotel.

I stayed at the Design Suites in Miami Beach a couple of days ago and had to leave because the mattresses were full of mold and dried urine. It was disgusting. We all had respiratory and digestive problems during our stay but did not realize it was due to the disease-ridden mattresses until the flat sheets they use, fell off the bed. We then also noticed there was no mattress cover.

We complained to the front desk and their remedy was to place a comforter over the mattress and under the flat sheet. We cut our vacay short and left. Our respiratory and digestive issues have since subsided.

Thank you for sharing this. Just had a similar experience at a hotel. We moved to a different hotel, but still have all of our belongings. Should I be worried? Not sure what to do.

I have experienced what you have mentioned. The mold in the room was visible on the walls and there were stains on the furniture. Our thought was someone moved furniture that was exposed to heavy rain into rooms.
Although, they moved us to another room the next morning I found out they placed another person in the room. I need to make this known to corporate.
